This week brings a special episode where Mike speaks with Leyna; she is one of several alters in the Doug Vincent System, to explain the condition of Dissociative Identity Disorder (trigger warning: suicidal thoughts & self-harm are briefly discussed in this conversation).

Further in the conversation, they discuss the many misconceptions surrounding DID (especially in films), how severe & repeated trauma at a young age can bring on DID, how the alters within a system communicate, how religion helped them through darker times, what the internal & external worlds of someone with DID is, and so much more – this is podcast is one of the most important conversations Mike has ever had on GCC, so make sure you tune in!
